Reviewer Guidelines
As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing, Journal of Communication and Da'wah sets clear expectations for its reviewers. Individuals serving as peer reviewers play a crucial role in safeguarding the quality and integrity of the academic work we publish.
Reviewers are expected to:
- Evaluate the Manuscript Thoroughly
Assess the scientific rigor, originality, relevance, and overall academic contribution of the submitted manuscript. Particular attention should be given to the clarity of objectives, soundness of methodology, appropriateness of data analysis, and strength of conclusions. - Provide Constructive and Professional Feedback
Offer clear, respectful, and actionable comments to guide authors in improving their work. Feedback should highlight both the strengths and areas for improvement, with the aim of enhancing the overall quality of the research. - Maintain Strict Confidentiality
Treat all manuscripts under review as confidential documents. The content, data, and ideas contained within the submission must not be shared, discussed, or used for personal advantage prior to publication. - Declare and Avoid Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest—personal, professional, or financial—that could affect their ability to provide an unbiased evaluation. If a conflict exists, the reviewer should decline the review. - Provide Clear Recommendations
Submit a final recommendation based on the evaluation, choosing from the following options: - Accept (manuscript can be published as is)
- Minor Revision (small changes required before acceptance)
- Major Revision (significant changes needed and re-review required)
- Reject (manuscript is not suitable for publication)
Through this process, reviewers help uphold the credibility and scholarly value of Journal of Communication and Da'wah, ensuring that only high-quality research is disseminated to the academic community and the wider public.
