Article Processing Charge
The Journal of Communication and Da'wah is a fully open access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely available for anyone to read, download, share, and cite without subscription barriers. This open-access model reflects Journal of Communication and Da'wah commitment to the broadest possible dissemination of knowledge and equitable access to scholarly information for the global community.
To sustain the journal’s operations — including manuscript processing, editorial management, peer review coordination, OJS system maintenance, copyediting, layout formatting, DOI registration, archiving, and indexing services (national and international) — an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
Fee Structure
- Submission Fee:
No fee is charged at the time of submission. Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts without financial barriers during the initial screening and review process. - Article Processing Charge (APC):
- Domestic Authors (Indonesia): IDR 000,000 (Free)
- International Authors: USD 00 (Free)
This APC is a flat fee applied per accepted manuscript, regardless of length or number of authors.
Important Notes:
- The APC is not linked to the review outcome. Manuscripts are accepted solely on the basis of their scholarly merit, originality, and compliance with Journal of Communication and Da'wah editorial standards.
- Authors facing financial constraints may apply for a partial or full waiver of the APC by submitting a written request to the Editor-in-Chief before the payment deadline. Waiver requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, prioritizing early-career researchers, students, and authors from under-resourced institutions.
- The APC is used exclusively to support the publication process and to maintain Journal of Communication and Da'wah commitment to being a sustainable, high-quality, open access academic journal.
By implementing this policy, Journal of Communication and Da'wah ensures the continuity of open access publishing, supports academic freedom, and contributes to the advancement of scholarly communication in the fields of Islamic da’wah and communication.
